BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

Breeding conditions:

There were two field trips: from 18-28 June and from 25 July to 1 August. Hatching was early in Kittiwakes and Herring Gulls. Mean clutch size in Kittiwakes was 1.3 egg compared with 1.56 in 1999 and 1.6 in 2000. Fledging was early in Kittiwakes and Herring Gulls. Number of broods of Common Eiders (22 in recorded in total) notably decrease compared with other years, as well as number of moulting males. Mean brood size (2.6 chick) increased compared with other years.
